Margaret Maghan, SSW, LCSW, PhD | Founder & Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Tinton Falls, NJ
My name is Margaret Maghan, and I am the founder of Practice Connections, LLC. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey with experience supporting individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns.
I am especially passionate about helping people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in real life not judgment.
My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. I strive to create a safe, supportive space—in person at our Tinton Falls office or via telehealth across New Jersey—where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace.
Margaret’s training:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Rutgers University
- Master’s In Science, Counseling, Northeastern University
- PhD, Psychology, Fordham University

Tracel Callahan, Practice Manager
Tracel is often the first point of contact at Practice Connections, helping individuals and couples take the first step into therapy with clarity and ease. She helps simplify the process, answer initial questions, and ensure clients feel confident and supported as they begin their care.
Hi, I’m Tracel.
If you reach out to Practice Connections, there’s a good chance I’ll be one of the first people you connect with. I help with scheduling, answering questions, and making sure the process feels clear and manageable as you get started.
I’ve spent several years supporting New Jersey therapy practices and helping clients take that first step; which I know can sometimes feel overwhelming.
My goal is to make things feel a little easier from the beginning. I’m here to respond with care, keep things organized, and help you get connected with the right provider in a way that feels supportive and straightforward.
You don’t have to navigate this process alone. I’m here to help.
